By receiving extensive training in Humanities of Linguistics and Literature, Ryan acquired many useful skills such as critical thinking, analytical skills, and ethical decision-making skills. Ryan shifted his study to accounting and management science, more tangible fields, and a complement to his previous education. He is devoting himself in ensuring corporate compliance, protecting investors, and saving taxpayer dollars.
Ryan used to work as a business manager for a non-profit organization for one year before joining in NextAfter as Staff Accountant. He tracks, monitors, and reports all daily business transactions in the accounting system under GAAP and ensures an accurate and timely response to clients, vendors, and team members. He manages cash inflow and outflow through A/R, A/P, and bank accounts. He oversees and visualizes business performance through generating financial statements, KPIs, revenue and budget variance, and segments reporting.
Ryan is originally from China and moved to the US in 2018 to pursue his master’s degree of Accounting at the University of Texas at Dallas.
