Susan is the Sr. Director of Optimization at NextAfter and turns data into results for her non-profit clients. With decades of experience in fundraising, she helps her clients grow their supporters, donors, and dollars through ongoing program analysis and campaign optimization.
Susan is a unique blend of creativity and analytical ability. Her love for advertising and numbers ignited into a crazy passion for direct response fundraising, which has been the driving force of her career. She served for 16 years at Stratmark, and returned to the renamed RKD Group where she managed the digital account managers and operations for the digital team. She has developed break-through multi-channel strategies for nonprofits across all sectors, with a primary focus on religious, health & human services.
Originally from Tennessee, Susan moved to Dallas after earning her BA in Journalism Advertising from the University of Memphis. She fell in love with all things Texas, raised two amazing children, and recently welcomed a daughter-in-law into her family.
When she’s not optimizing her client’s campaigns, Susan enjoys spending quality time with her children, cute rescue pup, Josie, and an incredible friend group. In her leisure time she likes to unwind by traveling, diving into a good book or channeling her artistic side through creating unique glass fusion projects.
